Birds

Ethan Daniel

Every heart sings like a bird in harmony,

Yet every melody hides the sorrow.

Every man who doesn’t sing is cold,

But have you ever thought their tune is too painful to hum?

Watching the world everyone has their own,

Yet the love they want they can’t accept.

They don’t deserve it, they’re not worthy of it.

But have you ever thought their silence is their repentance?

It’s the beautiful birds that make us smile

That are bleeding pain from their veins.

The ones that protect their friends.

They are the ones with broken wings...

There is so much truth in your lines. Hurt teaches empathy and caring. But why do the sweetest gals love a villan?

Pain can be a cruel but powerful teacher even if we don’t see it at the time. Thank you for your comment! πŸ™‚
