Simply put,
Your life was a spiral.
A never ending cycle,
Of giggly demise.
You never put your foot down-
And accepted it for what it was.
Everything became a joke-
To lessen the suffrage,
That you thought others would be-
Surprised by.
But giggle through the pain,
Right?
Now you’re just an unfunny bloke.
Who’s mental health has fallen-
Onto the ground.
Crack a smile.
I dare you!
One to ease the aching.
Take a shot,
Yet another round!
It would never have been simple.
Yet a better solution-
Could’ve been found.
Cry through the pain,
As you discover the tragedy-
Of your well being.
Wait for the day-
That you can pucker those dimples,
And show them who you are.
The real you,
Was never actually down that far.
You always wanted to be there.
You always wanted to be okay.
But it wasn’t a simple task.
You felt at prison within your own mind.
The happy boy everyone thought you were.
The one who loved his new flask
You could no longer find.
To combat this-
You just gave up.
But society couldn’t know.
“A real man doesn’t cry”
You heard.
So when you left home,
You put on the happy boy mask.
Knowing well this isn’t sustainable,
You fought back.
Well,
Maybe I enjoy listening to the birds sing.
And that shouldn’t be so bad.
Maybe I like the happiness it brings.
On that note,
I cry when I watch the moon.
The feeling of love,
And peace
That it brings.
Will make a grown man swoon.
Because of this insecurity.
This desire to not feel pain.
You submit yourself-
To wherever your mind will fly to
My friend.
You could attest.
This ride isn’t a good one.
