raindrops

scarlet poet

He makes my heart run wild,

like the pitter patter of raindrops on the car window.
he makes me giggle like a child

and like lightning, he makes my eyes light up.

I think about him every night

it makes it hard to sleep,

damn him, damn his smile,

it kills me how my love for him is too deep.

he is like sand in between my toes,

my worst moments and good times,

like the first time it snows,

he is everything and all a blessing to me.

and even though I'm over him,

I miss being in love with him.

I mean, at least I have him there,

he still takes care of me.

even from 5,000 miles away,

we're there for each other.

as if he's really there,

spending time with me through the summer.

he wakes up my flame.

he makes it so sadness doesn't show,

even though things won't be the same,

raindrops still fall.

  • dusk arising

Life could be described as one rainstorm after another but you will learn not to let them get you soaked after a while. Once you've achieved that you may notice the sun shines too.

It’s very true that after a while, you learn from your mistakes and fix it the next time. Even though it may still run wild through your mind, you’ve learned your lesson, thank you for reading!

To everything in life there is time and season. Rain drops fall for a reason and give way for the sun to shine! Such is life. I enjoyed your poem.

Thank you for reading! We are all human and all make mistakes, even the sky cries. It’s normal to feel the hate and pain towards ourselves, just as long as we can still reach the sunshine at the end. Thanks for sharing!
