Aesthetically challenged
intellectually limited
educationally unequipped
but rich in human resources
confidence bloated
opinions misguided
humor derided
but full of empathetic insight
foolish, to surmise
what values must we prize
in our mind’s mirror
of self-distorted reflections;
even those lost causes of society
were once vessels of the hopeful light of infancy
empowered to nourish
those gazing upon their innocent forms.
Incalculable, the impact
a shallow stream has
on the survival
of its surrounding wildlife
immeasurable, the impact
our pebble can make
with the tiny ripples it creates
when surging bravely: across the rivers of its fate.

A finely worded piece of wisdom in these lines my friend -- our pebble when thrown to create ripples can indeed change the tide of fate. Into my favourites with this little gem.
thank you, sometimes its the less ambitious writes that can engage readers in a more worthwhile way
I aesthetically, intellectually, and educationally like this. I'm waffling now - or gushing in praise! lol.

It ca be the little things in our lives that can have the most profound effect on them.

LB,
I just love a poem that needs a second read to fully immerse yourself in & find those images & directions.
I actually read it 5 times & each read gave me a new perspective.
Each stanza could easily be a poem on its own.
Particularly enjoyed:
"immeasurable, the impact
our pebble can make
with the tiny ripples it creates
when surging bravely: across the rivers of its fate".
Perfect!
Unsub.

I must confess I feel as if I have lost a period of undetermined time, because I can not fathom how I could have missed this page and its content until only just now ...
