The Fish of Fallacies

Markthetabor

Float like a butterfly,

And sting like a bee.

Open the doors-

Kiss me on the cheek,

And you will soon be free.

Interrupt a conversation between bears,

And risk your life-

For some pollen.

So supple.

That is.

Have you not noticed yet?

The boy is trying to trap you-

Within a jar.

On your own accord-

You won’t get far.

Yet,

You’ve made it.

The oceanside.

A thousand miles-

From the nearest net.

No longer hindered-

By your past,

And released from the hiding.

As you gaze upon the waters-

You sight a friend.

One with a ridiculous wish.

One who hopes to sprint upon the land.

This.

Is one ridiculous fish.

“What a moron”

You think.

He will never be this fast.

As you leave on a dime,

And zip across the sand.
