Anxiety

93tmarie

Hi its me

That crippling feeling

That creeps up on the

Tip of your fingers

& racing heart

That floods your mind

Tears you apart

Where did I come from

You just felt fine

Now palms are sweaty

& your forgetting time

Vision is blurry

Words don't flow out

You just considered

You're engulfed in doubt

I make you feel as if your dying

To believe anything else feels like lying

Is today the day

God comes calling you home

Or is it me anxiety

Starting to roam

I didn't need an invite

To mess up your day

Your lack of control

Allows me my way

This feeling will turn

Minutes to hours

The last thing you can expect

Is a bouquet of flowers

I will drain your energy

So get some rest

You'll never know when

Ill pop up next

    'Vision is blurry

    You're engulfed in doubt'
I like the distinct but direct depiction you have painted, on what must be a layered and complex rollercoaster journey of emotional tidal waves,
    good write

Well this certainly covers it...... thank goodness I don't have to stand up in front of a crowd and speak... the few times I did, "it" happened!
