Seashore Foam

Dasim

Dreams, in search of a heart

To call home.

Winds, whispering words.

Words that once said,

Fill our life

With wonder and fear.

And words not said,

The ones that could have filled a life,

One well lived, or not.

But not this one.

Pain and solace,

Darkness and light

In constant battle,

Perhaps unaware

That they are twins.

Worlds, visited in dreams,

Sometimes while asleep, others not.

A heart that beats dutifully,

Without questioning

Logic or motives.

Discarded hopes

And hopeless thoughts

Vanishing into air

Like seashore foam,

Making room for what lies ahead.

Time brings all this,

And only asks

For a smile in return
