Let me back in

down the rabbithole

When I look in your eyes I see a want to show me

Show me your heart

unlock all the feelings that push from behind the locked door you have given it.

I see you ache to be understood

Like you are passing me the map but have no idea where to point on it to show me the way in

It’s ok my love for my heart will find a way in

my fingers trace the inches of your skin I know as well as my own

my heart presses on your chest and listens to yours and says sorry for all the times she forgot to hear him

Aching to be understood indeed! At the end of this exquisitely sensitive piece, I almost ran upstairs to listen to my sleeping mate's heartbeat, which I must admit I have neglected to listen to lately. Of course it's 2 a.m., and she'd have killed me for waking her!
