To the Light Outside my Window

micromorth

Thank you for choosing me.

For reaching the thick pane

and attempting to gaze at this detainee,

even if in vain.

The bars of burnt umber

refuse to acknowledge your cadmium glow,

like the patrons who outnumber and fancy

while I follow

your every glimmer.

While I smile at your hazy suggestion,

watching through the blue sliver

of the peaked curtain named discretion.

But the falsehood remains in the attendee -

for I am blind but you can see.

I like your attention to detail, imagine this took a few drafts to shape so eloquently, while maintaining its capacity to project your raw feelings with so much brevity. It demonstrates your passion for writing,
    thanks for sharing

Thank you! This was so sweet! It's pretty old but I want to get back into writing poetry for sure (:
