Dawn

Steve Unruh

At the dawn of early morning

Light walks grey with waking breeze

And the fog on dainty slippers

Quietly slips between the trees.

Grasses crisp with beading moisture

The side brook gurgles as it goes

Nature chimes at its renewing

And the east is tinted rose.

A sudden flit of brilliant color

Silence broken – it moves along

Dewdrops fall and early morning

Breaks into………………..song.
