Chaos

catdeu

serenity, my dear

i long for us to meet

to bring to life my idea of what you are

instead i am greeted with chaos

the kind of chaos that appears attractive at the surface

like a sparkly sequin dress

one that scratches your skin when you put it on

one that you can’t wait to take off

yet, you look so good in it

at its core it feels like shards of glass

grazing over your skin just enough to hurt

but not enough to bleed

just barely bearable

to the shallow eye it is disguised as cotton

the real cotton, is serenity

it lay at the bottom of a creek that you must fall thousands of feet through chaos just to reach

in the word of Tom Cruise, you had me at:
    'serenity, my dear
i long for us to meet'

and by the time I landed with a thud at:
'at its core it feels like shards of glass
grazing over your skin just enough to hurt
    but not enough to bleed
    just barely bearable
to the shallow eye it is disguised as cotton
    the real cotton, is serenity
it lay at the bottom of a creek that you must fall thousands of feet through chaos just to reach'
    your write
was bagged n tagged into my favourites bag...

truly an immersive write you have penned here, wonderful demonstration of your natural talent for flow and insightful commentary
