Exposure to death

Markthetabor

I’ve been excited for the future,

Ever since I lived my life to it’s entirety.

Ready to die, I wouldn’t say so.

But if the speed takes me there-

Then I will not need a suture.

The day where I stare my demons of death down,

Is the day where I will exhale my lies.

Not that I haven’t tried,

But I’m not ready to see myself in a white gown-

Covered in my own blood.
