Chained to this world by my burdens,
The weight crushing my shoulders,
Decisions that pile up together,
Till they are tremendous boulders.
Feels like it’s been an eternity,
Just a sliver of freedom would suffice,
If only I was strong like Hercules,
But even then he took his life.

Not 100% sure on Hercules story but I know he-mans and by the power of gray skull, it's all in my hands!
Always a pleasure, to see yours in action!
Well after a little more research (which I skimmed through when I first wrote this.) Hercules didn’t actually kill himself but was rather poisoned by hydra blood. My initial skim of research I thought I seen where he asked the gods to allow him to die which is where I got that line from. A blunder on my behalf!
wonderful flow and yes physical strength alone is never enough, nor sadly is intellect, that is the wonder of this thing called life, where even immortality: is no defining measure,
still we have the good fortune of our next breath and the distance of one more step, to make all the difference we can - before the curtain call of our eyelids, lets us know we have done what we could, for this round at least...
(it's easy to project the optimist - when seating on my high-horse of a keyboard) lol
Your words are very true. I suppose it’s why we seek help within others most times. We aren’t always strong enough on our own, very few times actually. Optimism is a great tool to have and it often empowers the ones around. Thanks for stopping by!
Tis words like this that make the world go round .................. 🙂
