- Division -

PoeticBiscuit

This country is plagued by division,

And I was never very good at math.

Though historically we’ve been here before,

And I’ve read of the aftermath.

Embarking down this trepid river,

Puncture holes within our raft.

In the end both sides will lose,

neither will have the final laugh.

The tension littered through the air,

Makes it so hard to breathe.

The land of the free imprisoned itself,

Oh, what a sight to see.

    Which country is that?

    • PoeticBiscuit

I’m sure it could apply to many but for me it is the US.

      'Never have guessed...
The kind of poetry I like - small neat and crunchy...
      Biscuit like?
      Cheers Dave
