Just For You

lonelyraccoon

I wrote this just for

you

I listen to these songs just for

you

I doll myself up just for

you

I still play an instrument just for

you

I laugh about nothing just for

you

I learn everything about something you like just for

you

I play solitaire for hours just for

you

I grow my hair out just for

you

I re-read these books just for

you

I still draw faces just for

you

I still try just for

you

Just for

you

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is a love poem I wrote to myself. It really opened my eyes just how much I love myself. A lot of what makes me happy or gives me purpose (no matter how small) is what I do unprompted and for myself only. Seeing this list has really shown me that the person I love the most, is myself.

A poem about love is nothing new... But what you've done here, a poem about self love, now that's refreshing! I like it! Great work!
