Two Out Of Three

I am far from perfect,

and on this earth,

I never will be.

Still, I do believe in God,

and feel that there,

are three things,

that every Christian needs.

I believe,

that it is the Bible,

church,

and also prayer.

I say specifically that number,

because that number,

is hard to meet,

but two out of three,

is still pretty good,

and one certainly,

isn't hard to reach.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I will use an analogy of football. In football, there are three sides of the ball: offence, defense, and special teams. I once learned that if you can dominate two out of three sides of the ball, you can control the game, and eventually win. I see it as similar to life as a Christian. Remain steadfast in Christ's love. Persistence is key
