Although I weep...

caz84

Although I weep.

Peacefully you sleep,

High in Heavens above,

My love I'll keep,

One day we'll meet,

Far above the clouds.

I'm going round in circles,

i don't know what to do,

You said you'd always be there,

I believed that to be true.

Now alone i stand,

In all this pain,

Without a hand to hold,

For an extra minute with you,

I'd give money, jewels and gold.

But you're not coming back to me,

They've made that very clear,

I don't think I'll last a week,

Let alone the year.

😢 I can feel your pain in your words. Very emotive. Sending kind thoughts

This is quite beautiful. Hard to believe such a wonderful piece could be written at age ten but there again, it has to be, for it contains a purity and innocence of child.

I was drawn into it. So moving.

    Into my favourites.
