My Life is Over

PoeticBiscuit

My life is over.

It ended as yours began.

You heart beat is mine.

A part of me forever entwined.

You killed me,

Yet brought me to life.

My life is over.

It now belongs to you.

Everything that I make,

Is for you to take.

You stole my breath,

So that you can take yours.

My life is over.

The burden of parenthood,

Or a blessing in disguise.

Oops - a blessing in disguise, I hope.
But it can seem as if one's life is over, if getting some long drawn-out disease, for example.
