NO LONGER DADDYS LITTLE GIRL

Shayl

Broken guarantees and pitiful goodbyes,

you cleared out with me standing all alone with the tears within the well of my eyes.

In the flicker of an eye,

you turned your back and strolled away;

often I ponder in case I'm the reason you didn't stay.

Every day I dream of how idealize my life would be if you were here.

You might be my everlasting shield and ensure me from all my fears.

Or at whatever point I'm down you'd hold me in your arms and wipe away my tears,

But profound in my heart I know it'll never be;

that you'd walk back into my life and never take off again.

And it hurts so much since you didn't even bother to call.

The truth is I require you here in my life.

When I get hitched, I would've needed you there to allow me to become a wife.

And when I graduate, I needed to see that see of fulfillment on your face.

do not need another man to require your place,

But because you didn't bother to come back Ill have to look for another

Dad to take your place because you couldn't be what I asked for or wanted.

    The sooner one becomes independent, the stronger the bonds of relationship becomes, allowing one the freedom to explore.
