You Promised

SheWasTheSun

You promised yourself

You would give it one more try

You thought it would work

Of course you did

Because deep down,you've always believed

in fairy dust and soul mates,

in magic and wishes

You wanted a love story

That's okay

That's beautiful

But you promised yourself

You swore that if this love started rotting your heart

from the inside out

again

that you would walk away

the first time

you promised

that you would save yourself this time

You promised.
