Spiders

Jerry Reynolds

Spiders lurk in the topiary

Their webs exposed by morning dew

No breakfast today

For those depending on miscues

Cover blown. How spiders get enough tucker has always been a bit of a mystery to me. However they will decamp and find a another spot rather than starve, I believe.

They are actually good sailers. I observed one once crossing the road she had spun three webs in the shape of Y had some food in the center and would run up and down the three webs to tack and change direction. wrote a Hikyu about it.
      three webs and a gnat
      spider travels lightly
      wind sailing

'Ingenious' little buggers. I Don't wish to anthropomorphize but if you want persistence and patience look no further than your friendly local spider.

ok so I aint got time for spiders (some of nature's cruellest creatures), but if I read your words as commentary metaphors on the 'spiders' in our lives, then I get to appreciate the intricate merits in your write,
      good read

Oh come on, L.B. - I must leap to the defense of spiders. In my previous post I felt really ambivalent about my anthropomorphization in attributing persistence and patience to these lovely creatures. But you've gone right over the top with 'cruel'. What kind of judgement is that? I expected better of you?!!

lol the things that trigger us,
dude they literally paralyse and eat their prey alive, every time they can... and I said, 'some' of 'nature's' cruellest: as in it's in their nature to be...
but hey, if 'I ain't got time' is a crime you can't fathom, we'll just have to agree to disagree, lol
