A child's Christmas Confession

MelissaJA

A Child’s Christmas Confession

I must confess

That it was me

Who stole a peek on Christmas eve

I tiptoed down

My heart so loud

I thought you surely heard the sound

Of every thud

Though my feet were silent

I felt like I were a clamoring giant

Around the corner

I did peer

To see that morning was quite near

And there you were

Wrapping the gifts

Delicate fingers like a kiss

So gentle taping on the bow

A smile forming,

Did you know?
