The Ballerina

SirenBrenda

A ballerina’s limbs unfold,

Mocking stories yet to be told.

Her body flows luxury sold,

Conveying a beauty one cannot hold.

A longing stance,

She glides through the dance,

Catching your eye with a stolen glance,

Making you think you have a chance.

All a flutter on gilded toes,

She makes you forget your sullen woes.

Dipping and prancing highs and lows,

Your drowning emotions simply flow.

Picturesque, her physique glows bright,

As a crescendo reaches a new height,

Your heart squeezes flush and tight,

As your love grows larger than your might.

I'm not sure I'm the most appropriate person to be first off with the comments, but the poem took me, pulled me along and pop! here I am, Siren. I hope I'm not in trouble...seems a bit rocky round here...

Just noticed no one has welcomed you to MPS. I don't normally do this as I haven't got any seniority MPS wise.
So, provided you can assure that you aren't a threat to poor old blokes (guys) like me, then : Welcome to MPS. They also ramble on about this being an interactive site, works best when poets respond to one another, have conversations etc.
So let's be hearing from you sometime...
      Regards, Dave
