kiss me on the eyelids
help me sleep
eyes closed, go home
but i cant sleep with your fantasy
used to be insignificant to me
but now i see
cheekbones, hello
put them right against my acne
throw us in the void
effortlessly
but your colours strike me
why is the blue so deep
always cold weather
whenever we meet
is it sign
that you’re going to hurt me
i don’t remember your eye colour
i never stare at your face for too long
in case you can read mine
and i don’t want you to walk away yet
is there a pain brewing
because everything is too calm
there’s a black energy around you
but it comforts me

Yes, giving your vulnerability to a lover means overcoming this fear. Love hurts and hurts as it teaches you about what love really is.
