Jerry Reynolds

Was never afraid of the dark
Refused to sleep with a light
Pressed for purpose in mind
Would say with dutiful delight
Makes me easy to find.

Lots of interest packed into a few words

A bat can find his prey so easily in the dark because of his sophisticated echo-detecting system, but I did not cross my mind before that the daylight can hinder or confuse its radar until I have read your beautiful poem. Maybe that is why bats are nocturnal hunters.
