Sam Wolf

could we blame the night?

could we blame the night?

for a love born in the cold of a rainy winter

where the sun decided to hide

secretly speaking to the moon in the ear

making it shine and glow indifferently through the night

distant at 384, 400 kilometers away from earth

standing firm, yet floating like waves lost at sea

could we blame the night?

  • dusk arising

For the night bears the guilt
    of much to answer for,
    with no answer yet forthcoming,
allowing me to answer in part,
    with thanks to the night
    the place my heart finds
    wonder and joy

Sometimes when reading posts on MPS i am immediately taken by the vision i read. And so it was in reading your fine piece this early morning. A delight to read.

The night can always be filled with wonder.
    Good word Sam.

You can never blame the night, only yourself. Well done, Sam, made me think.
