I Want To Rise Like Birds

Naseer Ahmed Nasir

I know my journey is coming to an end
Sleep has encamped in my eyes, and
Dark's tranquil resonance
Can be heard from very close, but
I don't want to sleep now.
Muse, stay on with me for some more time
Talk to me.
Don't leave me alone
I want to see the morn of this night, and
Like birds
I want to rise with you!!

May you continue to rise, and in the company of your muse, that you may look back upon now reflecting - these were my finest days.

    A most enjoyable read.

proof that Poetry, transcends language/cultural barriers is in its ability to evoke emotional responses, despite whatever nuance may be lost in a translation...
    the Artist Chardin stated:
'One makes use of pigments, but one paints with one's feelings.'
and with Poetry, that proves true with our words as mere 'pigments',
thank you for sharing a wonderful Poem
