63 Hours without Power

Gary Edward Geraci

A clay pot heater,

All I’ve got with no power:

The will to survive.

  • Comment from author about the poem: A winter storm in Texas that we will fondly remember for years to come. After 79 hours without electric power, icy roads, short supplies, and the wonderful help of our neighbors (thank you Bobbie for the propane tank) we are enjoying a plethora of electrified services again - services that we had quite simply taken for granted for all of these years. Much to be grateful for.
