come my way - dear memory

let’s rewind - to a sweet melody

when alcohol - still caressed, deliciously

and laughter’s keys,

                                drowned our fears:

                                                              into melancholy

we danced

                 each beat, all night:

                                                so greedily

like we knew

                     this dream, would never end:

                                                                   in mere fantasy,

drum-base-crescendo please, then repeat

till we’ve sang regret’s tears - bone dry

feeling feather free, like Spring’s leaves

cherishing - each lived bite, of life’s ephemeral plate

exhaling mint-fresh hope, in each - treasured breath

escaped, from chasing hindsight’s tails

in stagnant love’s: drainage sails

and We, say

come our way - serendipity

bring that smile that fits our style

where we believe happy-ending’s - into realty

sliding - into custom-fit arms, gracelessly

as it was meant-to-be: imperfectly

humming, our gratitude - ever gently

jazz-smooth snare, as we declare – our sincerity: devotedly

Loud applause for some wonderful word-paintings in this impressive reflection on remembered togetherness. A super read L.B.

good to just have some fun, remind ourselves why we started writing all those lonely blank pages ago, lol (me, dramatic.. never! ahem..)
thanks again dear Fay, if you thought it worthy enough to praise, then I must have got some of the fun elements across, nothing more I can as for

Those younger days of untainted hope driven by enthusiasm testosterone made wholesome devotion. To the undying accompanyment of the rhythm of life with it's cresendos, crashes, grace notes of joy and glissando banana skins.

From fond memories to their crescendo in life followed by the slowing of the beat to the pace of existence in the real world. A musical journey through life and onward to wisdom and acceptance. - Phil A.
