Just Keep Insulting Them!

Samer Amin

Just keep insulting them!

Just keep humiliating them!

Just keep accusing them of being narcissistic or selfish parents who don't care about you and just want to let you down.

Keep accusing your dad of putting out his cigarettes on your private parts because he's reluctant to buy a new ashtray.

Or your mom who enjoys putting too much housework on your shoulder to make you fail your next exams.

Just keep waiting for an angel who masquerades as your potential partner who will rid you of persecution and slavery in this tyrannical family.

This angel, who will give you everything and will make you feel your true worth and true value.

While your family continues to perpetuate the notion that you are worth nothing or just a reconstruction of the nothingness.

Especially your abusive mother who was sleep-deprived when you were a little kid in order to feed and take care of you.

And your abusive father who used to work day and night to support his family.

But still just the empty words of your prospective angelic partner is the only way to rid you of your present misery.

There is nothing permanent or lasting for so long in this life.

When you become weak or sick, you will know the true angelic nature of humans around you.

You will know that most humans can offer conditional love as long as you are still strong and handsome.

Except for your mom and dad who will love you forever no matter what happens or regardless of your insult or accusation.

Surely, you'll know the truth, but when it's too late, unfortunately.

When you keep looking for them everywhere, but you will never find them again.

You will only find the terrible, real ugly face of this world that was hidden from your vision because of their unconditional love.

sadly, we are not all blessed with 'parents' dear poet,
some children are made to feel as mere accidents at best
    and deprived of worth
with every psychological or verbal or physical abuse
    inflicted upon them,
though most times subjected to all three - simultaneously..
oppressed by adults who choose to perceive their 'role' as 'guardian's', a gateway to their assumed 'Right' for viewing those in their 'care' as an excuse to act-out their self-resentment fuelled vicious atrocities..
    but I know - too
    you are not referring to those actual victims, in your write;
    you're merely venting your frustration
at those on the 'other' end of scale - entitled children, who
exemplify the trappings in a spoilt upbringing..
its just, 'us scribbler's' need to qualify exactly who we are referring to, as best as we can, dear poet
or else we are guilty of self creating the misunderstanding that acts as a barrier between our writing's accessible potential
and our readers ability: to relate..
still, a very passionate write you've penned,
    thanks for haring

Thank you for your widely differentiation between the two types of parents.

But as a general rule, an exception usually proves that the general rules were right.

Unfortunately, at a very young age, most teens could not grasp the essence of their parents' love, until it is too late.

And they think that their parents are only expressing their authority in order to obstruct their freedom or something like that.

Whereas, in the majority of cases, their parents were just trying to admit them to their life- experience in a very direct way, because these life lessons might cost these children a lot of time and efforts, and they might get lost amid the complex paths of life.

Beside they may suffer a huge, irreparable loss because they have never paid attention to their parents' advice.
