We should all do our bit right now
This doesn’t apply to me of course!
We should stay home and keep ourselves and others safe
This doesn’t apply to me of course!
We shouldn’t have others around our house unless it’s an emergency
This doesn’t apply to me of course!
We should all wear a mask whilst shopping
This doesn’t apply to me of course!
We should all keep our distance when we meet others in the street or on a walk
This doesn’t apply to me of course!
We should all act in a way that is appropriate for these times
This doesn’t apply to me of course!

- Comment from author about the poem: We're trying very hard to comply with the rules in our family here in the UK, but for others it doesn't seem to apply!

The same applies here in the US.
Good write, J.B.
Thank you
There's always some, I suppose, who think they are better than the rest of us!
They're sure are. I seem to live amongst them, especially in my neighbourhood.
Thank you for reading
Yeah - there are deviants around, no doubt about that. First impulse would be to engage, persuade them of the error of their ways, but who wants to get that close?
Fun structure, right length for me.
Thank you
indeed: insightful wit at its relatable best,
although this is nothing new, if anything but humanity's prevalence for self-distraction aligns our diverse histories - pages,
its that thread of actions taken by a minority few, for which entire nations pay the bill of consequence..
a good read and poignantly - timely, as well
Thank you
Well written tongue in cheek message.
Deserving of the comment addressed to your character - yes you are special enough to be a carrier and infect thousands.
Extremely good provocative writiing.
Thank you
