I Came Back Slowly

Goddess of the Mist

I came back slowly
from that place where I had been
that place where I go
from where I watch
thoughts weaving silken webs across my mind

The ebb and the flow
that I can only see - an innocent bystander
only taken along for the ride
because to attempt to dissolve them
would be trying too hard

From here I can create
literally anything I want to see
and I wonder if...
this is how we create our reality

Very intriguing, well written, GotM. We do create our own reality, but where it comes from, who knows!

    Lovely flowing lyrical verses.

You have me wondering. Is our reality actually seen through a dream we take with us wherever we go?

I like where you're going with that...
      and thank you!

      poignant last line!
'between all the chaos of circumstance and the unfathomably accumulated 'good lucks' that impacts a life,
      exactly what role does choice
and intent of purposed 'will', play
are we the true architects of consequence or destiny, or is reality our contrasting - construct of orderly comprehension
for this insanity we dwell in..'
a wonderful write, challenging in depth of scope and complexity of topic dear poet, thank you for inspiring my little scribbled reply,
      a great read!

Perception - never seen it discussed lyrically before, and that will be OK if I never see it again - this will do for me!
