Lost & Unclaimed (+4)

Kurt Philip Behm

Standing in

baggage-claim,

watching belongings

go round again

waiting for something

that will never come,

an army of strangers

grab their bags and run

leaving me distant

adrift and alone,

as the carousel stops

—my location unknown

(Shangri-La Airport: January, 2004)

Sampson's Locks

She never kissed you

till she hated you

Her feelings deadly

—her motives dark

(Aldwyn: March, 2021)

Green Eyed Monster

Have you climbed to the top

of your little mountain,

only to find others

looking down

From heights far above you

that unable to climb,

you turn a blind eye

to the ground

(Dreamsleep: February, 2021)

DNA Deception

The real nature

in the term

human nature…

Anecdote

of learned behavior

—serving self

(Dreamsleep: February, 2021)

Tracking Upwind

A hunter

not skinner

with quarry

so vast

Whose path

through the forest

is first

—never last

(Garrett Hill Pennsylvania: January, 2021)

    'leaving me distant
    adrift and alone,
    as the carousel stops
    —my location unknown'..
    this lines hit home:
    'so many times in life
    we're made
to feel out of place, when snug within a tight embrace'..
another great offering my friend, your scope for insightful depth is seemingly limitless, and all I can do is thank what ever lucky branch that curated my path to align with yours, however brief or lengthy our journey, I shall treasure every syllable you choose to share dear poet
