PTSD what does it mean to me?
Something different to you, yet we all share it too
The shutting of a door, someone standing behind you
That fear that fright, jumps right out from behind you
Your motor functions stop,
You’re no longer at the wheel
Events from your past suddenly again feel so real
Real in that moment but yet so many years ago
Bits of your past you just can’t let go
As the world closes in and and your chest gets tighter
Your fight for your breath, your fear an igniter
Your body on fire, you’re no longer in control
As you fall deeper and deeper down in that hole
But every hole must let in some light
Even if it seems at an incredible height
Grab on to that rope, the rope we call hope
As you climb and climb one step at a time
They say that the past is simply just that
Yet I believe it’s your present you’re future in fact
Use your life to guide you through
I hope that these words are some help to you

Informative write, M. Good read.
Beautifully done, I also did one as many "unqualified" people shared there wisdom for me to find mine. I hope your ripple helps those looking for the light on that line!
Thanks for sharing!
Also just inspired my b next write!
Thank you. I think I find that sometimes It takes reading about something simmilar to your own strgggles for it to hit home better and allow you to relate and understand
And it helps surely, that YOU yourself are helped also, by writing out these things, well expressed. 🙂
Writing down my words has played a big role in helping with my understanding pain etc
