If Only – 03

Nafis Light

If only I have found my answers right now,
at least about the things which matter most to me
but I know that I just need to be ready,
ready to accept the truth...and only then...finally.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Not sure about the four lines in this piece, but I just suddenly felt an urge for something...so I tried to channel it out...from feeling into words. Ya know, maybe by doing that, I could find an answer or understand something better.

    there is an underlying tension of hesitation caused by trepidation for what those answers may be, a contradictory tone to these brave words of self excavation, adding that typically human vulnerability of relatability
