In The Courtyard Of Sudden Reprieve

aDarkerMind

in the courtyard of sudden reprieve

as retrieves, so will conceive

the being of all belonging

where the sulking breath drips with Easter tone;

where the bones of fractured smile

rests easy upon the travelling moon

as sings the children of tormented storm

so cuts the strangers eyes with solemn oath;

between the pages of prayers unanswered

how still the stranded feet of wooden crow

while soldiers stand easy to the crown

with adopted son of war and one last chance;

how powerful this fragrance of the raw

as cotton become stitches to the wound

as threaded veins lay heavy on the heart

of headless corpse in bunker for the brave;

in this vineyard of our never ending wine

where vine and wire reflect our ever winding road

in mirrors of the damming of the lake

where stake through vampire heart brings midnight cheer;

upon the stairs where follows death

grins the reaper to the trusted swine

and wealth will exit to the right

while seated are the scars of all that's left;
