Tides of Love

asrealastheycome

I’m just tryna show ya love

Won’t fuss over lust

Baby we ain’t gotta rush

Crazy, is where ya touch got me lately

So let’s drive more like a Prius instead of a Mercedes

Take it slow, when ya leave I wish you wouldn’t go

But patience in these situations I’ve come to know

Let it flow, don’t row this boat against the current

Just let the tides take us and see what the moment spurring

Flirtin, late night under the constellations

Normally I ain’t filled with all this hesitation

And this level of anticipation got my heart racing to the point I don’t know if I can take it

See, you got somethin bout you

I can’t help but act a fool when I be around you

Loss for words is the only thing I amount too

Been weak in the knees since the minute I found you

Don't normally go for love poetry much - too sugary mostly? This one however has a certain muscularity (and I'm not talking about boofy masculinity) in it that appeals.
    Thanks.

I feel ya on that..not usually a fan of the mushy gushy love stuff..when I’m inspired to write something love based usually try to make it more realistic to my personality..thanks for the feedback 🤙
