Since the day I was born
Love was always there
Unbeknownst to me
Someone and something has cared
Without knowing it
I needed same as others
That undying love
Of my fathers and mothers
Love, an essential part of life
You could refuse it
But sooner or later
You’ll find a strong need for it
For within our souls
Love interweaves our hearts and mind
Instilling a void to fill
Of a loving kind
The magnetic pull
Between a boy and girl
What could be the source?
Perhaps the greatest in the world
And the birth of love
Where and how one has to wonder
The beginnings of such an entity
To make this poet sit and ponder

Andy, I know you had that one person in your life that was without question, The One. Today I was thinking of all the people in the world who like you and I had that rare experience of a love that lives in the very core of the heart forever. Thanks for the read and comment. ; )
Wow a wonderful tribute to all loves, parental to spousal and more. I agree that the source of all love is the greatest and is God Himself. Kudos for this fab rhyming poem!!
