Down my driveway

Masking

As I drive down my driveway,
There's a feeling that takes my mind.

Overcast with clouds among the night,
With a lowered thick fog beneath.

Thats just how it was,
So long ago.

I recall it as yesterday,
But it's so hard to feel it again.

As I park in my driveway,
There's a silence now that fills her.

Sitting with the darkness as lights,
And a mindful eye I'm thinking.

Of just how it was,
So long ago.

I recall it as yesterday,
But it's so hard to feel it again.

As the hour is now later,
And it's passing is more then mine.

Vision her now closer than then,
You know memry ain't the greatest.

And I pause, to see her face.
Her wonderful face.

And a moment of time,
Takes ahold of what I feel.

It becomes what I knew.
I feel it again.

Of just how it was,
So long ago.

I recall it as yesterday,
But it's so hard to feel it again,
When the sun comes up.
