one last cheer for the mighty sperm whale

aDarkerMind

it was all about the moon when saturn sang

wanking men in pools of flesh

asteroids in flame beaten brows on kippers diluted lungs

rhetoric sleeze beneath sleeves of knotted pearls

distant chants of uprooted coals on beds of lilac lust

thyme for the rose where mary succles edens prayer

as she slates the ever growing crown of christs tormented tongue;

the wandering jugs with clouded mint dressed in camel coat

it is now the cage of sulpher burns the inmates lower lip

and spills the milk of acorn on the naked jeepsters hip.

polluted bees on pollen trees where hangs a tankards spill

two cheers for the mighty sperm whale as it floats in buttered silk;

battered in goose fat and burning at the steak

in top hat and tails with my quails egg and pelican beak

I will peck through the wreck of the desolate war torn marine

and sail instead with the harpoon with purple snails and marys tamborine;

two hearts for the moon as saturn sings with suspicious alibi

beneath the wings of the whiskey spit above the bearded lady's skies

one last cheer for the mighty sperm whale

right between his eyes!

  • L. B. Mek

    a mere 29 years away from its 200th birthday
    Herman Melville's words, still resonates and penetrates: loud and clear
    for those with the patience
    to unfurl, dissect and digest, than merely - reactionarily, judge and detest!
    as does you brand
    of unflinching and boorishly matter-of-fact, frank: Poetry
    thanks for sharing!
    indeed, since soothingly whispered words of 'positive reinforcement'
    clearly aren't working, let us all
    try shocking ourselves from that cyclical apathy
    of ignorance worshipping malaise of petulantly, entitled: indifference
    to all thigs titled - Humane and Accountability...!
