Welcome To This Circus

Harry Atkinson

Is it that somebody

May inflict me

With their recycled love

Deceiving every query

To never escape this place

Looking guilt in the face

Coming back around

On a carousel

In this fairground

The deceit will not blind my eyes

As I stare at the ground

What is a puppet

Without its master

Have you ever thought to consider

A life that is not governed

Lead by a superficial cunt

Beginning every potent sentence with hereafter

Concealing every one of those possible queries

With an illusory plaster

This fairground will never be forgotten about

And when the time comes

You won’t remember leaving

After all, it’s just another day

In all that may hurt us

Welcome to this circus

We hope you enjoy your play
