Land of no more Sorrow

Kevin Michael Bloor

As I lay lonely ‘neath sweet summer showers,
all sad and wilted like forgotten flowers;
I took my comfort from a crumb so tiny,
(a thought, as small as diamond dewdrop, shiny)

That she, my life and love on earth, so tender
would not forget me, my sweet heartbreak mender!
That while I breathed upon the world still turning
and old Aurora kept on rising, burning;

she’d visit this vile vale of vapid sorrow
to pledge to me that on some bright tomorrow
we’d meet, once more, upon a moonlit meadow,
alive, in love, in land of no more shadow.

    One of my entries I think you'd appreciate, "This is Not Good-Bye". Yes Kevin, you and your wife will be together again. But she is always with you. ; )
