The dopest drug

Blue Poet

No matter what i do it never feels right
And yet there is nothing left
Everything is already written
Everythig already said

The dopest drug
Is always another person
Do you belive me
Or do you need to live through that lesson?

Or do you already know what it's like to go
Without a fix
Without him or her
Without the source of your kicks

No new feelings just their clones
Broken hearts and broken bones
Same old melody same old tones
All too familiar sticks and stones

Do you cry or do you straight up bleed
There is a cinema of memories
Please take a seat
It was you who directed these movies

And now where is your cast
No one else wants to remember
You're the last
No one else wants to live in the past

And why would they
Keep on keeping on
As they say
But i sense something sinister at play

Something dark and urgent
Something inside
That thing you don't like
That what you try to hide

What that might be
Just look inside your soul and see
It is in you as well as me
That old long lost key

To a door which we left to burn
And now it's far too late
Your life has it's turn
As well as your fate

And do you even want to go
Through that gate
Aren't you scared that all you gonna find
Is meaningless hate

I'll give you some time to contemplate
But don't waste a single minute
There might not be enough time
To kill it

Have you heard my conscience
That terrible sound
Only the things that are lost
Can ever be found

So maybe one day
Even i will be saved
From never having
What i always craved

  • dusk arising

Hmm many truths herein but hey lets blame this flippin pandemic for closing the "normal" throttle on our lives at the moment.
Though we may never reach the days, there is promise ahead and should we ever lose hope, then let us hope for the lives of infants. The future IS theirs after all.
