memento mori

siranswerer

There will come a day

When one of us will wake up

And the other just, isn't there, anymore.

One day, one of us

Will take our last breath

And a message will go unread.

There will be a time

When one of us will have to

Mourn, for the other.

And although, it's happened

Before and will happen again

It doesn't make it any less sorrowful.

The world will forget us both

As our ancestors are forgotten

And our descendants won't know.

Our existence is timeless

As we, the finite entities

Become undone.

All so true. But what we leave behind is oh so important.
