Peers

Pacifique Niyitanga

I want to talk, they make noise
I need to hear, they calm down
Opposition is their old habit,
Resistance is their priority

You're doing nonsense acts,
Still you're weak like before,
You're talking too much and loud
That's all their daily motivations to me

Well, I can rise my voice,
I can show them all I can do,
Give them the facts and proofs for their lies
But still, they keep on faking my opinions

I hate them laughing at me wrong
They hurt me joking like they don't care
Smiley faces I see whenever I talk of money-
Are different from those when I show off wisdom

Good teasers not teachers,
Just compeers not real friends,
Smart jokers not good advisors
You're colleagues but you cannot be called buddies.
