Forget me knots

flyingfish

Accords of memories
are strung up as beads.
Daisy-chains of forget-me-not
links and longings,
are strung up as leaves.
If left untied,
these string-a-longs
beckon a chain-reaction,
a melt-down to sorrow and regret.

Rampant memories are entwined,
captured and confined
to remind in lockets.
Hung to dangle over hearts,
they are strung on strings
tied behind necks,
knotted.

of that accrued necklace of regret
      stifling our capacity, to appreciate
      that gifted freedom of breathe
      you so insightfully pen, dear Poet;
      while your accompanying image, insures
like the flow of tide, this chocking feeling
      will someday - eventually: dissolve
into our forgotten memories of sand...
a meaningfully poignant poem, thank you for sharing
