Smile/Frown

AstralAbaddon

King of Contradicting

This society built upon lies

Invented the compass, yet still stray from your paths.

Your self serving justice, causes more to suffer.

Becoming friends and hanging out, yet distrusting one another

Your so called peace rallies are nothing but a pain, forcing ideals on others, making non assimilators burdened by the shame.

Arresting one for murder, yet being found out a rapist,

Convicting the father of the minor you were dating

Searching out the areas seeking familiar faces,

These crimes always happen in the most unexpected places

Then the constitution with rules of abolition,

Yet kids keep overdosing in and out of season

Next up exoneration for those undeniable crimes,

Flash a few Benjamins, it's outta sight and out of mind

Now let me ask you, what is good and what is evil,

This world's foundation are the whims of foolish people.

The King of contradicting known by many names,

I am known by just one: the Joker.

I have different desires, each at their own pace,

Wear so many masks I misplaced my true face.

The king who contradicts, many minds yet one heart.

Wake in the morning with scars whose origins can't recall.

The King of contradicting, they tell no lies,

Truth is in perception, belief in the heart,

The latter they are lacking, for even themselves they trust not.

This one is a bit heavy. Felt a little uncomfortable after this read - and I'm not adverse to some true grit myself.......
