Time Waits for No Man

Accidental Poet

Time, like a nonstop line

My eternal scheduled friend

Everything as it is

Until my life ends

No, I don’t expect

Time to wait for me

I’ll except my future

As it’s meant to be

But I’m always on the lookout

For the return of long-lost love

If it’s so deservingly written

In reminiscent stars above

For true love

Touched me but once

And though I confessed my love

I found no response

In years since

And many backroad miles

Never again have I seen

So beautiful a smile

Were she to read these words now

I hope she’d understand

Sharon, I believe in your smile

With love as my one truth, I’ll stand

We may never see each other

Here on Earth again

 I know we’ll have a date

In Heaven’s domain

But love unrequited

Doesn’t have to be so sad

For to know love in the heart

The best feeling I’ve ever had

The BEST feeling

I’ve ever had!

Wonderful loving words AP, she will be there for you. Perhaps the four of us can go and have a meal in loves restaurant.

Yes Andy, that would be a very fitting encounter I think. Maybe a little soft violin playing in the background for atmosphere. ; )
