Oaths

Catgotthecream

Decaying flowered, as plucked petals devoured

oaths in plenty, executed sanctions wipe empty

robust bridges burned; tallied isolation earned

mind in operation of primed exoneration

duty to thee scoring my identity

my ride or die, of burdened supply

could I recall being me, if advocated free?

Thank you very much AP 🙂

Your piece describes the multi faceted nature of domestic abuse – broken understandings and promises (vows for some), early rationalization and loss of identity – long term psychological damage.
Violence, of course, may or may not be a component.
Thanks for putting it out there, Alex.
