Since I was ten years old
She’s taught me about love
About appreciating
Gifts from Heaven above
I fell in love with her
Why, I don’t really know
But I’ve been learning everyday
The meaning of love to know
She came into my life
Found her way to my heart’s core
And four years later
I saw Sharon no more
At first thought
This you might think so sad
But the one in this story’s center
To me a lesson not so bad
She teaches me
How love can touch me so deep
And though she’s not here
Her smile in my heart to keep
I have known within my heart
Love so sweet it shines
Aged over fifty years now
The purest of love wines
When my time is up
And of Heaven’s home I’ll be
With all I’ve learned of love
What she teaches me

Love teaches us so much in our lives AP, it should always be there for us all.
Andy
And it always will be there Andy. ; )
What a great penning! Amazing job with what love is 🙂
Thank you for the visit, read and compliment. ; )
Of course!
True love last life long. Beautiful.
Yes it does m&m, thanks for the visit and compliment.
Now this is a tricky one indeed .. On the one hand, and I guess most importantly .. You have crafted a poem one might just be a tad envious of ... On the other, and this is an absolute fact, back in the dim and distant past when I was on a school cruise and suffering with sea sickness in the middle of the Mediterranean, I met and fell in love with a beautiful girl called Sharron Rose .. Funnily enough, it was not until many years later that I learnt about the fauna after which she was presumably named ... Seems to me, we have more than just a love for words in common ... Smashing AP, simply smashing ...
Neville 🙂
Really? Seriously, her name was Sharron Rose? More than words in common we have N. ; )
...................................................................... absolutely serious.. cross my heart
And you've seen "The Rose of Sharon" at the top of my entry, yes? There actually is a rose that's named "The Rose of Sharon". I wrote about it last year I think.
Yes I have a couple in my garden 🙂
Just what my garden needs. ; )
